At this stage in a child’s life, they rely on learning through their five senses, using their hands to explore their surroundings.

They begin to develop trust, begin to socialize through smiling. As they begin to communicate their needs, children develop self-confidence, they begin to understand that words have meaning and people will respond to their sounds. Physical movement consists of sitting, crawling and learning to transfer things from one hand to another.

Our Infant program is a loving and nurturing environment which focuses on our four areas of development.

Physical Health and Motor Development
We support the development of motor skills with blocks and shape boards, and encourage grasping, clutching, and movement. We support your baby as he or she rolls and learns to crawl, stand, and walk; and provide individual resting times for each child.

Social and Emotional Development
We hold, cuddle, hug, smile, and laugh with infants. We respond to your baby with warmth and sensitivity, and use words and facial expressions to communicate; and use family photos to promote self-awareness

Language and Communication Development
We talk with your child and acknowledge their sounds, verbalization, and body language as communication. We talk to infants while doing everyday activities and name objects in the environment when infants show interest in them.

Cognitive Development
We help your child explore the environment around them by placing objects with different sizes, shapes, textures and sounds within the infant’s reach. We create a variety of safe spaces and objects for older infants to crawl over and around.
